Description

The Karkonosze Mountains- are the highest range of the Sudety Mountains. They are compact mountain range, overlooking Jeleniogórska Valley. The range extends from Szklarska Mountain pass (886m above sea level) and the Kamienna valley in the west to the Kowary pass (727m above sea level) in the east and Lubawka pass in the southeast. The surface of the main ridge of the Karkonosze Mountains forms wide, levelled plateau. At an altitude of 1200-1450 m above sea-level the main ridge of the Karkonosze Mountains is divided by passes into several parts.
